Excessive hormone production can lead to hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. There are several early signs that your thyroid gland may not be functioning properly. 01.Hypothyroidism

It is a condition in which the gland does not secrete enough thyroid hormone. Iodine deficiency is one of the major causes for this. This condition is more common in women than men. 02.Hyperthyroidism

It is a condition in which the body begins to secrete too much thyroid hormone. Causes include graves’ disease, multinodular goiter, adenoma, inflammation of the thyroid gland, and high levels of iodine in the diet. Women are 10 times more likely to get it than men.

The symptoms of hyperthyroidism are as follows

  • Increased appetite

The more thyroid hormones you secrete, the more you feel hungry. If you have recently had a high appetite or a strong appetite, it may not be a sign of hyperthyroidism. No matter how much you take, weight gain will not happen because the body’s metabolic rate has increased rapidly.

  • Frequent urination

Rapid metabolism is a cause of increased blood flow. In this case, the filtration of urine by the kidneys is increased and the volume of urine collected is higher.

  • Excessive thirst

Hyperthyroidism is caused by excessive urination and the body’s need for water begins to increase. As a result, you tend to drink too much water.

  • Hand trembling

When the hand is held in the same position for a long time, the hand feels slightly trembling. However, hyperthyroidism speeds up metabolism, which in turn speeds up the body’s activity.   • Increased sexual desire

03.For Hypothyroidism

  • Eat a healthy balanced diet rich in vegetables, fruits, grains and protein. Have a few small meals throughout the day to retain energy. Weight gain is a hallmark of dementia. Therefore, weight gain can be controlled by eating a healthy diet.
  • Be active in everyday life. Exercise. It builds strength and relieves stress. This is especially important for people with dementia.

04.For Hyperthyroidism

  • People with hyperthyroidism should avoid taking iodine. Also, avoid dairy products and other dairy products (ice cream, cheese, yogurt, butter) and seafood (fish, oysters, kelp and seafood).
